Portable Mining Cords

Welding cable is a 600 volt flexible single conductor product used in secondary voltage resistance leads, generators, batteries and on motor leads where heat and oil resistance is required. Meets UL Style 1581.

Conductor: Flexible stranded bare copper (Class K)

Jacket: EPR or Neoprene

Type W is a 2KV (2000 volts) portable/mining cord frequently used in industrial mining applications and heavy duty service for power supply where high flexibility is needed.

Application: 2KV Diesel Locomotive Cable (DLO) is frequently used on oil and gas drilling rigs, motor leads, power supply units, locomotives and at shipyards. 1/0 and larger are cable tray (CT) rated.

Application: Bus Drop Cable is made for use in indoor or outdoor applications for connection of stationary or portable equipment to facilitate relocation of equipment. It is constructed using sizes 14 AWG through 2 AWG annealed stranded bare copper. The cable is covered with a gray PVC jacket. This cable is rated for indoor and outdoor use in wet or dry locations.

Ampacities are from Table 310.16 in the NEC.

Unless specifically permitted in 240.4(E) through (G) in the NEC, the overcurrent protection shall not exceed 15 amps for 14 AWG, 20 amps for 12 AWG, and 30namps for 10 AWG after any correction factors have been applied.
